in songwriter section, I see the scissors to split a measure. How do you split the 1/2 measure to be able to put 2 chords in the last half of measure. Thanks for your help. Tommy
Choose the scissors and hold down control on PC and scroll open the chord block and you will see more precisely where you can cut the chord block to add your new chords.

ctrl + scroll is a shortcut for zooming, which you also can do by clicking the + or – on the right edge of the song track. The more you zoom in, the finer the resolution will be, and you can cut on smaller parts of each bar!

This is good to know as a new user. Is it possible to bypass the “snap to grid” functionality in the songwriter? I’d like to “push” some chords to just ahead of or behind the rigid grid markers to humanize the playing. Or, is this something I need to do in my DAW MIDI editor after I drag EZ Keys MIDI in? Thanks.

This kind of functionality goes beyond the scope of the MIDI Browser was created, if you ask me.
What you’re asking for is best done in a DAW, although once edited as you want, you can drag-and-drop back to the MIDI Browser and save’em in your Favorites section in EZ Keys, just as any other MIDI file.
José Miguel Bloise is correct. To use MIDI with no snap would lead to multiple issues in EZkeys (regarding chord analysis, etc.). This is best done in a DAW.
