Installed the upgrade from SD2 to SD3 last night. It looks like the SD2 software (like Solo and stuff) is still there along with SL-Avatar. Can I remove the software? Does SD3 come with its own standalone software?
I intend to keep SL-Avatar just to have as an additional SDX.
S3 won’t replace the S2 in any old DAW sessions that have S2 loaded, so if you plan on opening any old DAW sessions, I would leave it installed. If not, you can delete it.
S3 does have a standalone version yes.

You are correct. SD3 installs as a new product installation and does not overwrite SD2.
SD2 remains viable for people who were using SD2 within a DAW (Pro Tools, Logic, Mixbus, etc)
and who might want to open projects that still reference SD2 in their sessions without error(s).

I have got to start looking for updates to threads before I post responses….
