Hello
as a long EZDrummer and EZMix user I finally decided to buy EZKeys. And I love it. But I have one problem – it seems like sustain pedal is reversed. Every MIDI, even rythmical ones, sounds like one big chord. Dragging MIDI to Ableton shows that on start of clip there are 3 or 4 CC 64’s from 0 to 127 and the zero at the end of clip. It was not like that when I installed plugin, is started to be like this after an hour or two of playing around. I turned off every MIDI keyboard but Maschine MK3 (with pedal input but with no pedal connected), I followed some strange internet instruction to switch Maschine’s CC64 ranges two times to somehow “reset” CC64 state, and it works for a day, but now it is broken again. And my friend has exactly the same problem. Clicking on EZKeys graphical pedal helps until new clips starts. Cutting clip does not help, at every clip start pedal is put to the floor as I can see on display. Could You please help with it?
Ableton 10 Suite, Maschine MK3, Push 2, Novation SL 61 MK2, Windows 10
best regards

The MIDI you use, have you recorded them when playing on a MIDI controller/Keyboard, or do you just drag down the MIDI from the Browser in EZkeys?
Do you experience this problem with any other virtual instrument?

Thanked by: Michał KołodziejczykNow I refer to MIDI from Browser. It does not matter if I play it from Browse menu or if I drag it down to song or drag it to Ableton. But I did some MIDI recording while I was testing EZKeys, maybe it was time when EZKeys somehow remembered wrong pedal polarization or sth. I am going to check if MIDI recording changes anything and I will let You know.
No, I do not have the sustain reversed problem with other VSTs.
Thanks for support.

Thanked by: Henrik EkblomSo I tried again with recording my own MIDI – it went OK and on my MIDI there is no sustain pressed. Still MIDI from library plays like sustain is pressed from the very beginning of every clip, nothing changes. I attached wav with clip from EZKEYS MIDI | Broken Chords | Position 1 | Variation 01, so You can listen for Yourself – maybe I am wrong and there is nothing wrong with software – if so please let me know 🙂
That MIDI loop starts with pressing down the sustain pedal. You can see the pedal move in the GUI. I took a look at the file before EZkeys picks it up and it is the same. It is just not a loop that is well suited to the sounds in String Machine. It is played to sound beautiful on a piano.
There is a separate MIDI pack called something like ‘Keys and Strings’. The strings MIDI probably plays better on the String Machine.
