I am using different snare drums from other ezx kits to build my own kit. When you pick the snare from the other kits it has the applied effects(ie.reverb, etc) to that piece. Is there a way to alter it within the original ezx then pull that into the new kit I’m building?
For instance I’m using the progressive foundry, but like the snare from the nashville kit. But there is way to much reverb on it. Can I alter it somehow and then use that altered snare in the kit I’m using?
Hope this explains it well enough.
Thanks!

Henrik EkblomThe mixer settings and the mixer effects are fixed for the selected library/preset you have chosen, e.g. you can’t change an instrument and by doing that also change the some effects, for example.
When you add the snare from the Nashville kit, the reverb is still the one from the Progressive Foundry preset.

That is exactly the dilemma. You can only select the default mix in which the kit was recorded. In other words if I like the “tight kit” preset in the Pop/rock kit, I don’t see an option where I can choose that particular mixed snare drum sound. It look like you can only use the kit pieces from the default mix. In which you can not reduce the amount of reverb from it because its only affecting the main kit being used.
So that is my question, is there a work around?

Henrik EkblomI may misunderstand you here (sorry if I do), but I’ll explain how the system works:
The drum sounds are separated from the mixer and effects.
To mix different instrument sounds, from different presets, you can load multiple instances of EZdrummer 2 in your DAW.

If you want to have more control over this (for example, add a custom reverb) , you can select the Original Mix, or any other “dry” mix and route the outputs to a DAW. There you can mix the way you want to.
This is also doable in Superior Drummer 3, where you have full access to the entire mixer chain.

Gotcha. Multiple instances sounds like the way to go. Too bad it can’t be stream lined.
