I have been looking for the last hour trying to find the download for Toontrack Solo. I tried to follow what was posted on a year old forum with the same issue and still no success. I can’t believe it is so hard to find. Please Help

edit: oops!! sorry. no download here either.
Hi Woodstock 2, I have just checked my EZD SOLO, having never needed it I have never looked for it. But just now I looked at the Toontrack Product Manager to confirm installation – everything including the update for 64 bit SOLO is confirmed, the only thing is, it does not appear in the Browser of EZD when opened in my DAW so something is horribly wrong. I am working on PC with Windows 10 Pro together with Cubase 9.5.40 64Bit.
So your question unfortunately remains and must go to Toontrack direct. That is not the only problem with Toontrack and so I have gone over to Steven Slate Platinum as I have to work with reliable products, and SSD is unproblematic. Sorry Toontrack.

Toontrack Solo is a host for loading old Toontrack samplers (EZD1 and S2) in a standalone environment (not in a DAW). It will not appear in the Browser in your DAW. It is a host for the samplers.
The new products (EZD2, S3, EZkeys) have standalone versions and don’t require Solo for standalone use.

Thanked by: Woodstock_2Thank you so much Scott. So let me throw out to you the reason I was looking for solo. I was under the understanding that by using solo, it would allow me to get it better latency value. Currently, I am trying to put together a drum kit for our drummer using EZD2. I am using an M Audio Mobile Pre and the best latency I can get it set up for is 64. I am going to assume that I need to find a simple 2 channel ASIO device Windows 10 capable. If that is true and will give me a better latency what would you recommend without breaking the bank .

Solo will use whatever ASIO driver that is on your system. Solo won’t give better or worse latency as it will use utilize the same driver the same way.
I’m not familiar with the M Audio unit. It does have ASIO drivers? 64 samples should feel almost instantaneous. At a 44.1kHz sample rate, 64 samples is the equivalent to 1.45ms of latency. So, what that means is it takes about 1 ms for sound to travel about 1 foot…which is about the time it takes for you to hear the sound of you striking an acoustic drum with a stick.
A 64 sample buffer setting should be ok. If not, there must be something else amiss.
