Have you added EZmix as a insert effect on a channel in Cubase, and is it enabled?

Try to add any other effect instead of EZmix. If it doesn’t work, there’s something wrong with the routing you have done (you may for example have placed EZmix on a bus).

Every other plug in works besides ez mix. I have superior drummer 3 and it works just fine. How should I have the routing set up? Your response was vague and didnt answer my question. Also when I run ez mix 2 as a plug in the effects rack does not open but the editor does. How do I fix the issue?

So, you are tracking a guitar through EZmix? Is EZmix inserted on the Input channel or on the audio channel? If you want to record through EZmix, insert EZmix on the Input channel then assign that input to an audio track. Make sure Direct monitoring is turned off.

And, you say you don’t hear any processing when you insert EZmix on an already recorded track either? Any particular preset? What version number shows on the EZmix interface? I’m using Cubase 9.5.3 on a Windows 7 machine using EZmix 2.1.4 without an issue.

Can you give me a step by step on how to properly insert ez mix 2 on the “input” channel rather than the “audio” input?  I am not entirely familiar with Cubase.

    Thanks!

If you have set up your audio interface inputs in Cubase, make sure they are showing in the Visibility section in the Cubase Mixer. You can show/hide all of the Cubase channel types from Configurations (See pic).

Make sure the Inputs you are recording through are showing. Inputs and outputs display with red fadercaps to differentiate between inputs/outputs and audio channels. Insert EZmix on your input channel and route that input channel to your audio track. Set that audio track to record and it will record through EZmix.

Make sure you set a low latency and that you have Direct Monitoring turned off.

I have everything set up exactly as you say and still no sound. Same issue persists.

Do the Input and Output meters light up in the EZmix interface to indicate signal is getting to and from it?

Within EZ MIX 2 the input and output light up and meter signal, however, within cubase, the Stereo Out meter does not move and neither will the meter for the track to be recorded. The stereo Input meter does show signal, however it only records the dry signal.

I use an M-Audio Mtrack 2×2 interface (without Midi) and these have a knob that you can just turn and blend the direct monitored signal with the “USB” or Processed signal that you hear.

I turn off direct monitoring withing Cubase settings, however, with these interfaces, I think direct monitoring is built in. Could that be what is preventing the processed signal from being recorded/Coming back to me?

I also brought this up to Steinberg, who has yet to respond)

I have put ex mix 2 on the “STEREO IN” bus in Cubase and that is how I see it processing the signal (Signal Meters fluctuate) in real time but when I hit record, i get processed signal back, but what gets recorded is dry signal on playback.
