We need some more info here:

    • Are you playing MIDI on the song track of SD3, playing e-drums, or do you use any other way to play grooves?
    • Does the cymbals never work, or only with some libraries/presets?

So if you open Andy Sneap Kit 2 and click on the Cymbal 1 (the one on the left side), there is no sound?

Does the kit look the same for you as in the screenshot?

I just bout SD3.0 and I am having the same problem.  Load a default drumset in the standalone (Metal/Heavy Rock -> Punch kit) and the cymbals make no sound when I click them in the drum menu.

    I had the same problem.
For me the solution was to install SD3 Library Part 2 – Room mics. (yeah, another 45GB).
