    Hi,

if you can launch the Standalone, please go to the Help Menu and ‘Show Plug-In Path’.

Make sure this path is included in Reaper’s VST search path.

    Help!

Similar problem as above, but the remedy didn’t work for me: I installed the $80 plugin support for Studio One 3 Artist (after buying EZD2 and finding out I had to upgrade my DAW), installed both the 32-bit and 64 versions of EZD2 as directed to if you aren’t sure which you need. S1 picked up the signal path and EZD2 was available, but when it fully loaded a pop-up told me I was running the 32-bit version and needed the 64-bit for memory space or something. So I uninstalled the 32-bit version through the product manager and now all I have left are a couple of empty Toontrack folders in the location of the files. I have shut both the DAW and computer off and restarted multiple times after deleting and reinstalling both versions, I have tried placing the signal path indicated by EZD2 in both the “instruments” and “Vst files” sections of the locations tab, and still have nothing in Studio One, though EZD2 works fine when opened by itself. PLEASE HELP! I’m a broke student and have waited 2 years to get a drum program!

    Hi,

if your path to the EZdrummer 2 plugin is in the ‘C:\Program Files\’ path (as listed by the standalone), e.g. ‘C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins\Toontrack’ then you know it is the 64-bit version.

If this path is entered correctly in the Options>Locations>VST-plugins in Studio One, perhaps you need to click Reset Blacklist.

I had the 34-bit version of Studio One and it took a few hours of tech support with Sweetwater to figure out the simple problem and install the 64-bit DAW. Now, when I open it within my DAW it asks for updates in order to load MIDI packs but according to the program manager, everything is updated. When I open it anyway the search tab is empty and the same request is made. When opened alone it loads fully and the search tab is full of options. I’ve started another thread on this but I am sure getting tired of fighting this installation since last Friday…  Please reply again if possible.

If EZdrummer 2 opens and functions as expected in 64-bit standalone but not as a plug-in, you must have two different ‘ezdrummer.dll’ files on your system; one that is in the correct place which is read and loaded by the EZdrummer 2 standalone and the Program Manager and another one that Studio One loads, which is the wrong version number.

This can happen if you move or copy the .dll file post install and is both unsupported and not recommended for reasons like this.

I would simply perform a Search on your system for ‘ezdrummer.dll’ and delete all entries that show up, then re-run the latest EZdrummer 2 64-bit update (if you do not run any 32-bit DAWs, you do not need to run the 32-bit updater).

Then check that the 64-bit standalone opens as expected, double-check the VST plug-in location via the Help Menu and finally check that Studio One looks for the plug-in in the right place.
