Oops, I just re-read your post….I misunderstood you at first…. Cool question. So you’re making your own sounds and want to file them together?

Well, no light has been shed here so I’ll summarize responses to my support ticket and what I’ve been able to figure out. The short answer is that it’s not possible to add articulations to a user instrument which uses only one’s own samples. There is a work-around posted here which works as long as you’re not trying to create functioning hihat with your own samples. Take an existing SD3 instrument and stack all articulations with your own samples, then mute the SD3 samples. This works well enough until you want a hihat, then your closed pedal stack fails to choke the open hihat stack. Importing my own samples was the reason I upgraded so this limited use (no multiple articulations, no velocity layers, no choke) is disappointing.

    That kind of sucks …

I guess i will have to get Slate Trigger 2 for that … I wish SD3 had that … It would make it the perfect drums VSTi.

You can stack sounds and use velocity switching between them but that’s about it.
