Is it possible in EZD2 to create/load a custom MIDI layout? By this I mean remap the way EZD2 treats MIDI notes coming in so that (for example) I can group all the snare sounds into a contiguous region of the keyboard, all the hi-hat sounds into a region, tom 1/2, etc. Right now the MIDI layouts have the notes scattered all up and down the keyboard, which makes playing things rather difficult. For example, the Vintage kit has all these notes by default for hi-hat:
MIDI Note | Note | Drum | Sound |
17 | F-1 | Hats | Open 5 |
18 | F#-1 | Hats | Hats Trig |
19 | G-1 | Hats | Hats Tip Trig |
20 | G#-1 | Hats | CC Variable |
21 | A-1 | Hats | Closed Pedal |
22 | A#-1 | Hats | Closed Edge |
23 | B-1 | Hats | Open Pedal |
24 | C0 | Hats | Open 1 |
25 | C#0 | Hats | Open 2 |
26 | D0 | Hats | Open 3 |
42 | F#1 | Hats [GM] | Closed Tip |
44 | G#1 | Hats [GM] | Pedal |
46 | A#1 | Hats [GM] | Open |
60 | C3 | Hats | Open Max aka Open 4 |
61 | C#3 | Hats | Closed Tip |
62 | D3 | Hats | Tight Edge |
63 | D#3 | Hats | Tight Tip |
64 | E3 | Hats | Closed Edge |
65 | F3 | Hats | Seq Hits |
It would make my life much simpler if I could remap all the Hats into one area of the keyboard. I would rather not set up MIDI note maps in the keyboard itself, because I use various keyboads for MIDI triggers and I’d have to roll up a custom mapping for each one.
EZdrummer can’ t remap the MIDI notes, but this can be done in a DAW if you are using one. This is one of the differences between EZdrummer and Superior Drummer, where you in the latter can do much more things, including remapping of notes.

Thanks for the answer! Even though the answer was “No, you can’t do that”, at least now I know.
The MIDI mapping feature alone might prompt me to crossgrade to Superior Drummer. I am not keen on tying it to my current DAW; then I can’t switch DAWs without re-doing my mappings.
