Toms ringing, Help Please

    You can change them by importing into the DAW as separate channels, Kick, Snare, Toms and so on, based on the EZDrummer 2 mixer. Then you can tighten them up using your DAW eq, compression. Works great for all your drums, cymbals, oh, reverb…..

    You can also try to use a Gate, to cut the volume from the toms, as soon as they hit a low enough volume.

    Yes thats what happens on most records.
    SD3 has envelope control or decay time per mic so you can do all of that on board as well as gating .

    As above,

    Route each of the tom outputs to separate mixer channels in your daw,

    you can then use a gate, compression and eq to manage levels:

    Gate will control decay.

    Compression for dynamics.

    Eq to find the toms resonances (honk).
