And also, I dont even know where to look for it or the names of the folders I should move….
thanks
I think I should uninstall and start over bc I didnt intsall them in order
How do I do a total uninstall?
Hi,
if it’s working, there’s no need to uninstall.
If it’s not, then open the PM, select the SD3 Library Part 1 and Download the Product Installer to be able modify or uninstall the Library.
If you check the ‘Installation Info’ tab, you can see where it is installed.

Tks. Pls advise further.
-In PM, Im looking and SD3 Library 1, Basic Sound Library and the other ones are not downloaded nor installed.
-SD3 is installed.
-Under application is see some stuf Part 1,2,3,4
Attached 3 screenshots
Hi,
sorry for the delay.
You wrote that you attach 3 screen shots but I can only see 2.
From your 1st screen shot, you seem to have your Downloads folder set to your ‘Applications/Toontrack/Toontrack’ location. While you are free to set it whatever you like, it might get a bit confusing. The Default location on Mac would be to your ‘Users/{Username}/Downloads/Toontrack’ folder.
You can enter the Preferences and Reset or change this, then click ‘Move Downloads’ if you wish.
From your 2nd screen shot it seems like you have downloaded the first parts of the library but not installed it yet.
If you click ‘Install Product’ for Library part 1, you are presented with the option to install it and change the path where to install it, right?

John

-Thanks. Makes sense but still dont know what steps to follow based on what I have.
Im trying to put in an external hard drive anything SD that can be ok living there. So what do I do next since I have done some partial downloads? No idea what has downlaoded.
Which of all these downloads must stay in the main computer and not in the External hard drive? Example Superior Drummer 3 and SD3 Part 1 Basic Library? I assume some of this stuff has to be on the computer.
This is too confusing. I would rather delete whatever I have downloaded already and start over. I dont know where these are.
OK,
you can delete the 4 ‘…Part1’, ‘…Part2’, etc folders. The PM downloads files that are used for the installation, i.e. what you download is used to install the library, so you need room for the download and the actual installed library. After you have installed the library, the downloaded files through PM can be cleared/deleted.
You can indeed set your Downloads folder to reside on an external drive, this is set in your PM Preferences, as I wrote above.
I would suggest that you make clear separations of where you download and where you install your SD3 library, though.
E.g. name your download folder something like ‘{External_Drive}/Downloads/’ and then your SD3 Library location ‘{External_Drive}/Toontrack/Superior 3’.
The SD3 software must be installed on your system, yes, so just let it be where it is.

Thanks.
Which of these –attached screenshots– must be installed the computer?
So the Library files will be duplicated in the External drive? Downloads External and SD3 Library?
Hi,
you didn’t attach any screen shots.
Anyways, there is a FAQ with steps and links to the manual over here:
https://www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-install-superior-drummer-3-from-a-download/
All questions should be answered there.

Thanks. I did deleted the SDX folders. Have not installed anything else other than SD3 main program.
John, you said:
“I would suggest that you make clear separations of where you download and where you install your SD3 library, though.

-I have made so far 2 folders in the External: SD3 Downloads and Toontracks SD3 Library.
-The install steps link you sent me doesnt mention any of what you mention so specifically.
-The PM only shows option to set/change Downloads Location. There is no option in PM as to to where Library should live!
So I hit Download on the Libraries in PM.
Whats the next step after?
thanks

When you have downloaded SD3 Library Part 1 fully in the PM, you can launch the SD3 Library Installer and then you will be presented with the option to set the install path, e.g. ‘{External_Drive}/Toontrack/Superior 3’.

Thanks John, indeed thats working 🙂
For the Sound Library Part 1, the Installer wants to install the CORE MIDI PACK in Library/App Support/EZ Drummer ….(in the computer).
Is this where that should go? Its 4MB. (doesnt show option to change that; Im dont need it to be in External, just making sure that file should be in computer….since all the other Library files in External…
