Not sure if this is a bug or if I’m doing something wrong. If I add 2 midi-tracks from the browser (use 2 of the same), and then I select one of them. Go into Grid Editor and change ex Randomize to say 50% to be extreme. Then click on midi 2 and back again to midi 1. The randomize is set to 0 again but the randomize effect I did before is still saved. So if I randomize again it will be even worse. Then jump back and forth a few times and your first midi is really screwed.
It seems to react different (and randomly some times) depending on if I click on the midi-block in the player or on the blocks in the midi-grid.
I would like each midi to keep it’s settings so I can go back to the original and change my velocity, dynmaics or randomize back again, but it’s impossible. The more I jump back and forth, the more messed up my original block becomes. The only way to go back to the original midi is to copy the original back it in again from Grooves.
Shouldn’t the application always keep my changes on each individual midi so I can decrease/increase my changes anytime I like?
Hope you understand all this. A bit hard to explain. To recreate; add 2 midis of the same to the player-track. Open Grid Editor. Jump between midi-blocks and/or same blocks in the midi-grid. Change Velocity, Dynamics or Randomize between jumps.
Or maybe it’s just a feature that I don’t quite understand 🙂

It is like you describe – if you change a property on a MIDI note (say Random), select another note, and then select the first note again – the sliders will be reset. This is because they are apply effects, e.g. applied when you de-select the notes.
We are aware of that it would be a better system to have the MIDI notes remember the settings of each controller (quantize, swing and random), and we have it noted on our todo list for the future! Thanks for the feedback.

Has they been fixed? It’s 2023, Im running SD3.3.6 and I believe I have the same issue here. If I select a section of midi in the track time line at the bottom of the UI and used the “randomise” slider on snare hits for example to make them sound more natural, the moment I select another section of midi the randomise move reverts back. The Velocity, Dynamics and randomise sliders are so helpful but how they jump back like this makes them useless IMHO. Im would be happy to be informed Im doing something wrong or if there is a check box somewhere I need to check to make Velocity, Dynamics and randomise moves stick in individual drum peices?
Thanks
