Hi all,

Sorry to ask what is probably a simple question………………….
Trying to use the 13″ HHX Evolution hi hat from the NY Avatar library in the Rock Brass kit preset in SD3, but don’t want the Avatar room sound? How do I change it so I get the Rock Brass room sound on the new hi hat?

Hi,

you can’t break the law of physics, if an instrument is sampled in one room/studio, there is no way to place it in the same room/studio as another expansion is sampled in.
You can use the Close mic as “normal” and then try to blend the bleed as you see fit in the other microphones. Perhaps you need to create (a) new channel(s) to tweak the room bleeds separately to blend.
