Hello,
I can’t seem to find a straight answer on this.
Question 1. Where should I install SD3 and all Toontrack products (EZ Mix, etc.)?
I just bought a new supped up ASUS with Ableton Live 10 as my DAW, It has 2 Hard Drives, the C: is an SSD and the D: is an HDD.
Where is the most practical place to install this?
FYI, I have purchased a lot of Toon Track products and add-ons and it will take up a TON of space.
If I won’t notice too much of a difference, then I would like to install it on the D Drive (HDD). UNLESS there will be noticeable issues, in which case I will move things around and make the C: SSD work.
Question 2. How do I change the paths assuming that I install other than my SSD C:?
In other words, if I do NOT install it to the suggested path (SSD) how would I change those settings in Ableton Live 10?
Thank you so much in advance!
It depends on how fast you want your kits to load. They will load faster on an SSD. All samples load onto RAM so streaming them off either drive won’t be an issue.
The path can be set after install from a menu. See the link to the manual section below.
