    Hi,

this is not an EZkeys issue, it’s up to the host, in this case Logic, to recall the track and content .
If I insert any other 3rd party VI on a track in Logic, edit sounds etc. and then perform the same Delete+Undo operation, it doesn’t recall correctly.

    BR,
    John

    EZDrummer does it correctly.

Update: I went back and checked because that seemed too easy. EZDrummer and EZKeys actually behave in similar inconsistent ways: sometimes your work is restored, sometimes it isn’t, sometimes it’s partially restored. It seems related to how much time elapses between your last edit in the plugin and when you hit the Delete key. If you wait 10-20 seconds before hitting Delete, then Undo, you’ll often get some of your changes back. In one case, pressing Delete caused the screen to flash with no other result.

    Hi John,
Is there any development on this or does anyone see it as an issue? It’s not simply a host issue.  In Logic Pro X, while in EZ Bass and in Superior drummer 3 I can hit delete while in the plugin with a piece of midi selected and it deletes the midi.  In EZ Keys it deletes the track and the plugin.
Do you know of a workaround for this?
It’s insanely frustrating.  Possibly the only plugin out there that does this.  It’s a real workflow killer.

    Any help is appreciated.

Lee, Did you find a workaround for this?

No workaround that I know of.

I’ve largely stopped using EZKeys. Besides this behavior, the UI for creating / editing chords is a PITA and takes too long for what I do, and the chords aren’t available for lead sheets or sharing.

iReal Pro and Band in a Box both give fast keyboard chord entry and song structure, and iReal Pro has printable/iPad-able lead sheets. Neither provide the quality of a good EZKeys track, though the occasional RealTrack in BiaB is surprisingly good.
