I have similar issue. Importing wav files into Tracker works OK, but when trying to export or drag ‘n drop All Tracks Combined or any other MIDI track in the list, the song track only shows the bars from 1 to around 64.
I purchased the update from SD2 to SD3 yesterday, and bumped into this issue today.

I’m having the same issue as well since updating to 3.1.0. I can’t get Tracker to export midi past bar 60 in the DAW, or stand alone SD3.
I was just about to submit this very question to the forum. At least others are seeing the issue too. I was beginning to think it was just me.

Same issue but using Tracker with only 22 bars, it will only export to midi 12 bars!

Same issue here, exporting only up to bar 70 in SD 3.1.0… anyone found a solution yet?

Yep this is a bug introduced in the latest release, we will release a new version with a fix for this as soon as possible.
The only workarounds right now are
    1) Exporting the midi with tempo 60.
    Or
    2) Turning on MIDI Out in Settings and then play through the track in Tracker while recording the midi in your host.

    Thanks for reporting in guys!

    Thanks, Jacob!

If I export in 60 bpm, is there a way to change the tempo to the correct one (130 bpm in this case) afterwards without speeding up the MIDI playback so I can edit, quantize etc.?

I have the same problem. Is there a fix for this yet? I literally just bought SD3 today and this issue directly negates my exact reason for purchasing it. So frustrating!

    Hi,

since it’s MIDI, you just set the Tempo in your host. Which host are you going to import the exported MIDI into?

    Hi John,

Yes, I saw that reply, but thanks for checking. I tried exporting at 60 bpm and got the same result. I will try again at varying lower tempos, but even if I get that aspect to work, it doesn’t truly solve my problem because I need the tempo map created by Tracker in addition to the basic midi information. I’m doubling a live performance that was not done to a click, so if I bring the midi back into a session without the proper tempo map it will not sync properly.

Routing the midi out of Tracker and recording it into my DAW could work to get the basic midi information out, but, aside from being a cumbersome process, I would also be robbed of the functionality within SD3 which I would like to use to fine-tune the part, such as edit play style, etc. I want to be able to work with my track on the grid within SD3 before having to commit to the performance. Also, in my particular case, I am working with very long tracks which will be very irritating to have to bounce in real time, especially if I wind up having to do that multiple times.

So, at best I see the above as band-aids that might work for some people, but not really for what I need. Perhaps I am mistaken about ways I could get the functionality I need in this situation, and if so I would be happy to be corrected. If not, I’m hoping that a fix will be available ASAP.

I am also wondering if there a way to export the tempo map from Tracker? Or, is there a way to uninstall the latest update? Either of those things might solve my issues in the meantime. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Best,
    Scott

    Hi Scott,

I guess what I would try is to record the MIDI out from Tracker to my DAW, then exit the Tracker and record that MIDI back from the DAW to the SD3 Song Track.
Then you will be able to Edit the MIDI with the SD3 Edit Play Style and Grid Editor.
The Tempo map is included in the Exported MIDI from the Tracker but if your exported MIDI file gets truncated, there is perhaps no point in Importing the Tempo from the MIDI file?
If you try it, this is found in the Song Track Menu, ‘Import Tempo from MIDI File’.
I know the guys are working on an update, so let’s hope it gets ready for release ASAP.
Right now, the only available version is 3.1.0 unless you have saved an old installer.

    Hi Erik,
I think the update solved the midi export issue for me.
    Thank you!

I’ve just updated, and I’m still having the same problems with tracker. It simply doesn’t export the whole file. I’ve imported a snare track into SD3, analyzed it, exported it to a MIDI track, and it’s only most of the file (64 bars, to be precise).

This means that Tracker, which previously worked perfectly, is now unsuseable for me.

Is there a way of rolling back the upgrades so I can have it working again? I have a big album project coming up and kinda need Tracker to work in the same way it has been since I first installed SD3. Very, very disappointed right now.
