monitoring SD3 through Roland TD-30

    The simple answer is turn the sliders down. That’s what I do but I don’t really use it as my audio interface all the time. Others save a kit with the volume turned down so they can just switch to that kit. You would get exactly the same using any other plugin or DAW. The answer is with the TD30 and not SD3.

    SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

    Turn off “local’ in the Roland Module.

    I knew about local off as I used it for years on keyboards. I still find it quicker to pull the sliders down than go into menus but then again I have the internal mixer set so that the sliders are all the same so easy to put back. It’s just how you fancy doing it.
