Hi… i have just downloaded the whole sound library of SD 3 to external hard drive and i did the edith path thing from the library setting ,restarted SD 3 ( even computer ) but i doesn’t work , still getting the same message over and over that the library is missing….. what do i do? Best regards Chris
Hi Chris,
I am assuming you downloaded and ran the installer for each section of the SD3 library. So when you edit the path you pointed SD3 to the installation location not the download location.
Did you download and install using the Product Manager?
Just trying verify the basics, before moving on.

Just to be sure, the download and Install folders are 2 different locations.
For the first section of the library. In PM when you select the “details” button. What is displayed?

What disk and folder have you installed the sound library to?
USB? Thunderbolt? Direct connect to the host or through a hub?

well i have a macintosh external hard drive , named deltaco connected to usb port. i managed to add the basic sound part 1 to the external disk and it is working with SD3 now.But i can t do the same with the rest of the 4 librarys. When i open the external disk it has all of the librarys but in the details in PM for those 4 remaining it says not installed.

Hey Chris, Does PM indicate the other libraries are downloaded? If so, run the installers again?

Post a screen print of the directory where you have the full library installed, you may not have to download thing again, it’s pretty massive.

So those are the installation files. Each one needs to be installed in order for you to have the full library.
Where is the folder SL-SuperiorDrummer3 located?

You mean the main software folder? it s only on my computer disk…is that the problem?
Hey Chris,
No the folder I am looking for is SL-SuperiorDrummer3. Where is it located, that is where the basic library would be installed and all the additional library files will be installed.
All the files ending in SDX-Part1-5 are not sound files, they are installation files. They contain the data to build the rest of the sound files when the “sound installer’ is run from each one, either manually or by PM. Why PM is not seeing those files I don’t know.
What’s on the external SSD drive?
Where is your PM download location (from Toontrack Product Manager preferences)

i see , yeah i have it both on computer disk and external disk. On the external are all the 5 SDX sound libraries
You mean the ones you showed me on your computer disk, those are not SDX sound libraries. They are installer files.
If you look inside each one you will see a Sound Installer, that program needs to be executed in order for the SD3 Sound library to be installed.

yeah, that s what i did but it just worked for the 1 library not the other ones , could they be damaged? in PM preferences i had the external disk as location…
