Hey folks –

MacBook Pro
OSX 10.13
Cubase 8.5
Superior Drummer 2

I just upgraded to Mac OS-X 10.13, and after loading Cubase 8.5, my Superior Drummer VST is missing. I really don’t want to upgrde to SD 3 yet – compatibility with my writing partner – so how do I get the SD 2 VST to work on my setup?

Hi,

which Superior 2 version is installed?
Is it present in ‘Mac HD/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST’?
Does it work in Toontrack solo?

ive just downloaded superior drummer 2.0 does this come with a drum kit aleady? its the installers from the toontrackvssd box

Please use the Product Manager to register your Superior 2 serial and then download and install the latest version via Product Manager.

Hi John –

In answer to your questions:

– SD 2.4.4
– The vst file is present
– The product works in the Solo application

I will also search the Steinberg forum for clues, and report back if I find anything.

It looks like the issue could be incomplete compatibility of Cubase 8.5 with MacOS 10.13…sigh…
