    1. How do you map them on to a key on the keyboard with the kit you have loaded?

    2. How do you get the midi parts you’ve written to play in time to play in time because I’ve read part of the sound comes before the main impact which falls on the beat

The MIDI is complicated to edit by yourself. If you add a future hit instrument, open Edit Play Style for a song block, select the future hit instrument add increase the amount, Superior will add these beats for you. You can go into the Grid Editor and see the MIDI (in the bottom), and try to edit it yourself 🙂

This ‘future hit’ feature is a bummer. I wish i could just trigger the shakers and tambrourines already. Why not give us the option please toontrack.

    Hi,

you can already, sort of. If you don’t add shakers and tambourines as Future Hit Instruments but as you would with any other Instrument. The included SD3 Percussion does not have any Shakers that can be played that way though but Tambourine Hits. If you have e.g. the Latin Percussion EZX or the Latin Cuban Percussion EZX, you can add both Shakers and Tambourines the ‘normal’ way and access the separate articulations as any other Instrument.
That said, the Future Hit Instrument feature is really great for creating realistic percussion grooves easily both from pre-made Shaker Pad grooves and with the Edit Play Style feature.

Hi John, thanks for the reply. I’m surprised and delighted to hear from you.

    1. I want to get good shaker, tambourine and sort of brush like textures on my snares. Ideally I’d like to be able to trigger them with my midi drums/pads. What is the best way to achieve this? Is it future hit? If yes then, where can I learn how to use ‘future hit’. I can’t seem to find a good tutorial on it.

    Thanks for your reply.

    Daniel
