I just updated SD 3 to version 3.0.2 and while it did resolve one issue. Original post- (EZ Drummer 2 Southern Soul 70s kit into SD 3 there is no animation on the floortom when played, this only applies to the “Default”,”Basic” and “Original Mix”)- the drum is now animated in all presets on that kit which is fantastic, so thank you guys for that.
Another issue that I was having. Original post- (SD 3 crashes Pro Tools 12.8 in Windows when loading EZDrummer 2 Vintage “Phased Bitcrusher” as well as several other presets in the EZDrummer 2 Vintage kit list in SD 3. Also, some of the kits in that same list load with a hand clap instead of a snare drum. That always results in a crash)
This issue still stands and in fact some new issues have arisen. All issues are still with the same EZDrummer 2 Vintage kit involving the same presets. Now not only does the snare load as a hand clap but now it no longer loads the entire kit. Sometimes it doesn’t load the floortom and sometimes it doesn’t load the racktom. Also, as before, once the hand clap loads instead of the snare, the very next adjustment attempt results in a crash of Pro Tools.
Now I have no idea what fixes were in this update and I am in no way implying that this update was released to include a remedy to my specific issues, although as I mentioned it did fix the animation issue I was having. I am simply here to report the news and try to help.
