Windows ran several filesystem checks because it reported file system errors. Everything works now, but I’d like to know if my downloaded content is correct.
One or more bit-flip can happen on a 320GB download. Is a download verification option available for example in the “Toontrack Product Manager” to detect this? Or should I post my SHA1 checksums so other people can verify it?
I’ve the following feedback for the developers of the installer after a few basic fault insertion tests:
* Missing resource files in the downloaded GraphicsV3 directory are accepted by the installer. So this ends up in an incomplete installation when a file is missing.
* 0 byte .obw files are simply copied to the installation directory, so bit-flips or disk write errors are not handled. I expect at least a file size check before and after a file copy.
Thanks!

The Product Manager verifies everything that it downloads and writes to disk, so you can be sure that the downloads are correct on disk when they are completed.
Do you fear that your downloads could have been corrupted some time after they were completed? If so, you can make a download get re-verified like this: rename it in Explorer, activate Product Manager so that it notices that the download is gone, change the file/folder name back to what it was, and click ‘download’ in Product Manager. It will see that the file/folder actually already exists so it will start by verifying it (and will redownload parts that fail verification).

I’m concerned about corrupted files on my harddisk caused by harddisk hardware failures. (I’ll replace the disk ASAP) The “Sound Installer.exe” setup cannot be trusted, because it accepts missing graphics files in the download folder and 0KB obw files are also copied.

That’s exactly what I’m looking for and works perfect.
All download verifications are already implemented in the “Toontrack Product Manager”, but looks like a hidden feature. I suggest to add a “Verify” button to check the contents of the disk. The verification takes a while, but saved me hours of redownloading everything.
Thanks for your great support, Olof!
