I have been testing High Sierra in Studio One and standalone and haven’t seen this. Unfortunately I am on the road now until Thursday night and can’t test anything else.

Mac Studio M1 Max, RAM 64 GB, 1TB Drive, OSX 12.x/13.x and Windows 10 (VM)
DAW: Studio One Pro (always up to date)
DTX Express III (Extreme triggers), Nektar LX88
    OWC Thunderbay Mini (4 X 1TB Sata SSD), Express 4M2 (4 X 2TB M.2 SSD), Envoy Express (1TB M.2 SSD)
Presonus Quantum, Faderport & Faderport 8
    Black Lion Sparrow Mk2 A/D, FMR-RNP-RNC, MIDI Xpress 128, BM5A, KRK VXT4, Equator D5
    2020 Macbook Pro 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Audio(mobile rig)

I should explicitly add that this is for GarageBand.

How about standalone? Perhaps it’s just the AU version. Perhaps a full download (of the application and reinstall) might fix the AU version.

Stand alone works, I’ll try an uninstall/reinstall and report back.

I can confirm that current version of EZdrummer 2 (and all our other plug-ins except Superior Drummer 3) cannot be opened in GarageBand on High Sierra – EXCEPT if Superior Drummer 3 is loaded or has been loaded before in the session! Then it works without problems, strangely enough.

I did a complete uninstall/reinstall using the Product Manager software, I still get an error. I hope there is a fix for this soon, as one of my machines can’t work on any of my projects now.

It’s been reported on various tech websites that High Sierra handles Audio Unit plugins differently
and some plugins may not work.

Hello everyone. This is my question too – any news about fix for the issue? Workaround still working, but it’s not really what we’re waiting, Toontrack. Hope you guys have an update as soon as possible.

This is not a Toontrack plugin specific problem, it is Apple that needs to make changes to Garageband.

I’m having the same problem with EZ Drummer and High Sierra (in relation to Garageband). Does anyone know if there is a patch available yet?
Has anyone received any feedback from Apple about this problem?

We are working on an update that will fix this. In the meantime you can try this workaround: https://ask.audio/articles/audio-plugins-not-working-in-garageband-on-macos-10-13-high-sierra-here-s-a-fix

Does anyone know how the patch for EZ Drummer is going? Any updates from Apple yet?
It’s really difficult to work without EZ Drummer.
