Hi everyone. Proud owner of SD3 here. I bought the SSD version . It arrived today and I’ve been setting it up for the last couple of hours.
I am having an issue and can’t seem to see/hear the “electronic sounds” library ? Ive read the following in the documentation about pointing the library path – but I don’t see that path when I click on the SSD drive in Finder? I have correctly pointed the other library (all the acoustic sounds) and thats working fine – but I would love some help in bringing in the electronic ones! I own a Roland TD-50 electronic kit so can’t wait to explore all the sounds . Here is that part from the documentation copied and pasted below :
its the “repeat this process for the SL-SD3_Electronic Library that I’m having the problem . many thanks !! Steve
***3. LINKING THE INSTALLED SOFTWARE TO THE SUPERIOR DRUMMER 3 SOUND LIBRARY ON THE SSD HARD DRIVE
Once All installations are complete, launch The Superior Drummer 3 stand alone application.
In the Settings Menu select Libraries.
Click the Browse for Library Paths button and then navigate to the SL-Superior Drummer 3 folder on the hard drive.
Repeat this process for the SL-SD3_Electronic Library.
Both sound libraries will now be linked and available for use.***
You can either add an instrument or use the ones already there. Just click on the instrument then go to the menu directly above which shows you the instrument you have selected. Open the menu and click search for instruments. On the far left select Superior Drummer 3 Electronic. You can then limit what you look at by clickin on the fields further to the right. To deselect click on one again.

Hi,
the folder containing the Electronic Sounds is named ‘SL-SD3_Electronic’.
On Mac, the location would be
{Mac HD}/Library/Application Support/Toontrack/Superior Drummer 3/
On Windows, it would be
C:ProgramDataToontrackSuperior Drummer 3
I do think that this path will be picked up automatically, though, if you have run the latest Superior Drummer 3 installer.

i appreciate the help guys – thank you ! seem to have that working now
Cheers Steve
I installed SD3 on 9/17/17 on Windows7 64bit and don’t see my ‘SL-SD3_Electronic’ folder. Nor do I see a SD3 Standalone library path for electronic setup under settings/libraries. When I searched under “Add Instrument” tab, I did find the individual electronic sounds. Also, my library presets incorporating electronic sounds load fine. Should I download the latest SD3 installer or is my system setup properly? I figured there would be SD3 Electronic MIDI files to demonstrate some EDM/Pop grooves.
Hi Frederick,
if you can load the Electronic sounds all is well, no need to reinstall.

John
