In addition to EZBass (please), please help those of us with Electronic Kits by creating something like the following…
Either a standalone… or embedded into EZDrummer… “EZKit” in which you have, say, Kick, Snare, Hats, up to Five or Six Toms, maybe Four Cymbals and a kind of (say) 6 trigger sample pad.
The key features would be:
1. ANY drum sound from EZXs owned could be assigned to ANY slot/pad. At the minute I cannot assign an SFX sound to, say, Tom 6.
2. Midi note numbers could be changed or re-mapped if necessary. To make them work with odd Midi files.
3. Either a couple of samples could be layered per drum/slot/pad or samples could be layered via the re-mapping in 2.
4. Ability to add your own samples – maybe just to the sample pad slots..? Velocity layers not essential.
5. The full midi file browsing, auditioning and structuring capabilities of EZD.
6. Separate outputs (Vol/Pan) for K, S, HH, Rack Toms, Floor Toms, Cymbals (Each..?), then maybe Sample Pad 1-3, Sample Pad 4-6.
7. A couple of basic effects per output, similar to SD. Maybe Transient, EQ, Delay, Verb or a send/return with basic effects.
8. The same volume and tuning features per drum that EZD has.
It would basically just be EZD (or a section within EZD) that allowed a little more control over the sounds per pad… plus the ability to add your own samples… plus re-map when necessary… the ability to use the EZXs someone owns to build their own fully custom set-ups instead of being limited to a percussion sound on what is really a cymbal pad in Claustrophobic, for example.
You guys can do that, right…? :))
