EZMix 1 allowed editing on multiple features… EZ Mix only allows 2 knobs?

Ezmix 1 had 3 faders to adjust. A Shape fader, a Blend fader, and a Level fader (an overall output fader).

EZmix2 has 4 parameters. Input, Output, and 2 knobs (these 2 knobs act the same as the Shape and Blend faders did in EZmix1).

The way that EZmix (1 or 2) is that multiple parameters are adjusted at the same time with the 2 faders/knobs. Some presets were created with more control than others. EZmix was made to quickly adjust the sound using your ears and not fine adjustments.

EZmix may not be the right tool for every job, especially when one wants fine adjustments.

LAME! That is a pathetic response and approach. I am new to EZMix, and find it quite disturbing that I can’t go in and tweak the presets as I see fit.

That makes EZMix half a product. I bought it, but won’t be upgrading, and will likely not buy anything else from Toontrack. (Loony Toontrack, more like…)

Sounds like EZMix isn’t the right tool for you. There are many other products out there that may better suit your needs of tweaking settings if that’s what you are looking for.

However, not all users are like you. There are different choices for everyone and we all need to find the tools that work for us.

Well, EZ Mix 2 is perfect for my needs. I am not a sound engineer I am just a regular guy who would rather my time creating music than mixing and mastering. Even with EZ Mix it is still taking me several hours to get through the mixing and mastering of my music. I admit, I don’t know what I’m doing. I just click on different presets until my ear says “yes”.

Scott, however, I do have one request. Could you guys in the future consider making some presets for orchestral and jazz music? With my jazz music, I have been able to have the best results from the reggae pak.

    Thanks

    Jon

Jazz and orchestral packs have been requested in the past. I’m sure the Toons have them on the radar.
