    Hi,

though I believe you can use both type 0 and type 1, I’d go for type 0, since it’s single track.

I’m new to EZDrummer so I’m still in the early learning stage. I was thinking that EZDrummer 2 would allow setup of individual output for each drum component or sound. Is that not a function of the individual midi tracks in midi file type 1?

Multiple outputs from the EZDrummer2 mixer are described on pg 38 of the Operation manual
and any number of Toontrack videos on their YouTube channel:

As the videos user Scott E points to show, the multiple outputs of the plugin is something that is set up in the plugin mixer.
Tracks in MIDI files are something else; the Data is either on one single track with channel info included before the MIDI notes etc. or as in Type 1, the Data is split up on separate tracks per channel.
So the videos and setting up the mixer for multiple outputs are related to how you hear and can manipulate the audio and the Data type is related to how you can play back and manipulate the actual MIDI Data.

I hope this answers your questions.
