Hi,
I’m using EzDrummer 2.0 and most of the EZX’s with a Yamaha DTX562K with the RHH135 and have been extremely impressed at how well these work together. However, I’ve noticed that on the Americana EZX the varying degrees of opening and closing the hi hat sound very odd. The transition between the various samples when releasing the hi hat pedal don’t sound smooth and at all and the fully open hi hat sounds quite different to when it’s half opened. It sounds as though this preset wasn’t mapped correctly when being triggered with the Yamaha DXT 502 module or RHH135?? I have checked how the hi hat responds with the other thirteen EZX’s I own and these all work great so it sounds as though there is a fault with the Americana EZX mapping and the Yamaha DTX 502 or RHH135?
Hi,
have you run the PM to check that you are updated?

Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I’m not using PM as my studio PC is not connected to the internet. However, I am using the latest versions of EzDrummer 2.0.2 and Americana EZX 1.5.2.

The latest version of EZD2 is 2.1.3.

Ok I’ve just installed the latest 2.1.3 update and this hasn’t made any difference. Bizarrely the second time I opened the Hi Hat the fully open position sounds different to the first time I opened it. I have attached an audio file to show what I’m talking about. I don’t get this happening with the other EZX’s I own so this appears to be isolated with the Americana EZX. I’ve tried adjusting the Hi Hat curve correction and this also doesn’t solve this.
Yes, that does sound strange, as if you are going directly from the Edge closed articulation to the Bell Open 3.
My kit is down right now, so I can’t check by playing myself.
Is it possible for you to record that MIDI and attach it to a post here? You may have to ZIP it first.
