When I install a new major version of OS X I will typically install it to a new hard drive and start fresh with everything. This way, if there are problems, I can boot back to the old version HD and keep working. I have all of my EZDrummer and EZMix software installed on my original drive, which will remain accessible in my Mac Pro. Is there a way I can just install the core program plugin without installing the sound libraries? I have the core sound libraries and EZXs all installed on the original drive and I know by reading the “moving sound libraries” procedure that I can point my new install of EZDrummer to the libraries later. I have 15 EZX libraries and I don’t want to have to install them just so my DAW has the plugin required to use the libraries.
I hope this makes sense.

Hi,
did you try to install the latest version of the plugin and point it to the location of the ‘EZdrummer’ folder on your other drive?

John,
Yes, I can do that but it takes such a long time to reinstall all the sound libraries and it seems this is an unnecessary step since they are all already there. I guess having a standalone installer for the core program to install would be ideal but it doesn’t look like that is the case. I will just install EZDrummer and my 12 EZX libraries over what’s already there. Maybe I can request this as a feature enhancement where the sound libraries are deselectable in the installer as a custom option.
Thanks,
Greg
