Sometimes drummers hit a cymbal and then grab it to stop it ringing – I don’t know the name for that action, I just know I like it!.
There are cymbal sounds that stop in EZD, but i cannot find a good way to control the length of the note. It does not work to shorten the note length. It *does* work to vary the velocity ( I think); oddly enough, if you hit it harder, it lasts less time(!) – but the problem is you get a more aggressive sound, and I don’t want that. I want to keep my velocities but control the note length.
In short, guys, is it possible to “grab” cymbals in EZD?

Olof WestmanYes, it is done with Aftertouch. Both Channel Pressure and Poly Pressure
works.
