I have a Boss Dr. Rhythm DR-660 Drum Machine from the early ’90s. It has MIDI OUT and MIDI IN connections. Can I use this to “play” the drums in EZ Drummer 2? If so, how can I do it? I’m not very MIDI savvy so was wondering if you could supply steps to getting this to work.
Hi,
first you would need to get the MIDI Out signal from the DR-660 into your computer somehow, via a MIDI interface.
Next, you will have to set this MIDI interface’s input as MIDI In in EZdrummer 2.
The mapping of the pads will most likely not correspond with the drums in EZdrummer 2, so you will need to re-assign the MIDI notes in the Boss. A how-to is found here:

To find the right note number in EZdrummer 2, click the instrument arrow in the interface, then Details. If you do not see the note numbers, click ‘Key’.
