Thanks for the feedback. We are trying to make the best software in combination with being easy to use, which results in a software where everything isn’t possible to do. To give the user too many options simply decreases workflow and creativity. That said, features like your request, might come in handy – I have noted it 🙂

Thanks for the prompt response Henrik.

I am pleased to hear you will consider this for a future update. I don’t think that an easy to reach “Undo last tap” button would complicate matters at all. Inclusion of a Ctrl+Z undo keyboard shortcut in addition to this would be even better.

Also, on the subject of keyboard shortcuts I’ve just realised that there aren’t any assigned to the undo/redo when dragging MIDI files into the timeline. This should also be worthy of consideration as it wouldn’t add any clutter or complexity, but would be there for those who find it useful, like myself.

    Regards and thanks once again.

What do you mean by that – you can’t undo using keyboard shortcuts when you have dragged MIDI to your time line?
There is a basic problem here, which is that the DAW:s takes care of keyboard shortcuts. If you, for example, press ctrl+z to undo, the undo will be handled by the host – undoing the latest thing you did in your host, not in EZdrummer 2. We are aware of this problem, and we understand that keyboard shortcuts is a great way to increase workflow, and we will continue to look into it. But as described above – It’s not as simple as to just put it in the software.

Ah , OK. That’s fair enough.

Only having purchased the software recently I’ve mainly been messing with it in standalone mode, and as this is the first plugin I’ve encountered that features its own timeline the issue you highlight hadn’t occurred to me. I just presumed that when using EZD2 in a host that keyboard shortcuts could/should work when the plugin has ‘focus’ within the DAW. If this is not the case then that’s fair enough. In any case I would be inclined to drag MIDI files into the DAW when using it in a host to enable file editing in a piano roll.

That being said, if the feature could be added to only operate in standalone mode it would still be good, but if not it’s no big deal.

‘Undo last tap’ button would still be awesome though. Cool

Thanks once again for your attention Henrik.
