Hi, I have an old Roland TD-4 module and EZ drummer 2. I am working on a groove with the Hip Hop ezx. There are two snares I want to use. I can change the existing snare to another snare no problem. But, I don’t know if it’s possible to change a tom to another snare thus giving me two snares in the same drum set? Doesn’t seem to work in EZ drummer 2. The snares don’t show up as an option to select under the toms. I can see the articulation or note name for the additional snare (only when I am choosing from the snare though.) I don’t want to change this snare however. I want to apply the second snare sound to the tom so I have two different snare sounds. Is this something I have to to in the TD-4?
If so, would this be an unwanted global change to the TD-4 and EZ drummer so that when I just work with the module the tom will then be a snare and also a snare in all the other ezx’s I use? I really just want this option on the Hip Hop ezx when I choose to do this. Save it as a preset and call it up when I want in the Hip Hop ezx. I don’t want to screw the mapping up globally.
Anyone? Running Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 and all is completely updated with EZ drummer 2.
Your help would be greatly appreciated. New to midi so…..
Thanks
You cannot load a snare on a tom position but there
are two extra snare positions, SD Small and SD Fat,
that can load the same sounds as the main snare.
