Hi,
I’m very new to this…
I’ve been reading a lot of stuff about connecting dtxpress to Ezdrummer 2 but I can’t get it to work. I set toontrack solo to e-drums as people suggest as well as ezdrummer2. But do I set the dtxpress to something or where do go from there? I use a Roland midi to usb interface. If someone could give me a dummy explanation please.
Thanks
Hi,
you don’t use EZdrummer 2 with Toontrack solo, you launch the EZdrummer 2 standalone app.
In the Settings Menu, you go to Audio/MIDI > MIDI Devices and put a check mark in the box in front of your MIDI Interface.
In the Plugin Menu, you go to the E-drum settings and select the Yamaha Preset.

Hi, thanks for that. I did do that too but it’s not doing anything, like he midi in and out lights on the interface aren’t on and that suggests to me it’s not coming through and it’s just the sounds of the brain not the kits in ezdrummer 2. Do I have to go somewhere specific on the brain of my dtxpress?
EDIT: Ive been trying this and nothing is happening… do i have to go to some setting on the dtxpress brain?
