Hello!
A couple of months ago I had a problem to get my EZ drummer to work together with my Studio One 2 Professional recording program. I tried various ways of getting help, but finally had the problem solved by my youngest son, who came home for Christmas.- If you log into the rcording program as “administrator” it allows the programs to interact. Now, however, I have a new problem:
Since I finally could get to use my EZ drummer, I bought an expansion, (“Jazz”) , but when I try to install it, I get the message that I must upgrade “To the latest version” of EZ drummer before I can install. I have upgraded to the best (newest) version that I can get through your homepage (1.4.0) , but it seems not to be enough. What can I do? I thought that expansions were simply add-ons to the groove library, and so should work with any version of the program, but this seems not to be the case. I have seen no warnings that the expansions do not work with older versions!?
Sincerely
Anders Blomberg

What version is displayed on your EZdrummer interface?

My EZ drummer version is 1.1.4,(It says so on the CD-rom) but i have upgraded it to 1.4.0.

Does it read ’64-bit’ after 1.4.0 on the interface?
Can you give us some of your computer specs?

I am using a ASUS CM 1735 with an AMD a¤ 3420 processor dual core 2,8 Mhz. 6Gb RAM . I guess the EZ drummer is 32-bit, since it doesn´t work with the 64-bit version of Studio One . It now works well with the 32-bit version. The disc or original package does not say anything about being 32-0r 64-bit?! Although it says ” 2009″ on the disc.
i guess i buoght it in 2010.
Sincerely Anders
And your operating system is Windows 7? Or 8? Or something else? You say that you downloaded the latest version, 1.4.0. I’m trying to confirm that your EZdrummer reads ‘1.4.0’ on the interface. Does your EZD interface reads 1.4.0 in the bottom right corner?

The interface reads 1.1.4 in the down right corner. Does that mean that the download that I,ve done has failed? I thought it would route automatically into the installed version of the program. Is there something that has to be done to activate it?
Anders
By the way – I´m using Windows 8.1
Have you unzipped and run the installer you downloaded or did you just download the update?
I notice that you started another thread months ago where you couldn’t update to an earlier version. That seemed to be a permissions issue. My guess is that since you still haven’t been able to run a successful update, you have a permissions issue. Please review that thread as John had posted a link to a thread where users were having similar permission issues. Please make sure you’re signed in a administrator and that you have deactivated the UAC in Windows before running the update.

Hello! I managed to install the update properly – now it says 1.4.0 in the down right corner. I will try again to install the expansion. If I don´t succeed I will come back to you!
Thanks for your help so far!15
Anders
Last night I installed the Jazz expansion. Since I now know that it can be done on my xcomputer, I will buy more expansions! Thanks for your help!
