The latest version of EZdrummer 1 is 1.4. If you have something older
    then you should update.

I have the same problem. I already loaded EZD 1.4 update and installed it. After that I tried to install my N1hits EZX but it still says “You need to upgrade your Toontrack software to the latest version before you can install this product”. Any ideas where the problem could be?

Which version number is displayed in the EZdrummer plugin interface?
Have you moved or copied the ‘ezdrummer.dll’ file post initial install?

I might have move it or copied it because if i remember right my cubase didn’t found it from it’s original location. What i should do now? Do i have to reinstall the whole EZD? Or just to move ezdrummer.dll back to where i think it was?

I followed advice from other topic and managed to upgrade EZD. Now I have version 1.4.0 in plugin interface. Still I can’t install N1 HITS because “You need to upgrade your Toontrack software to the latest version before you can install this product”.

    Hi,

    which advice was that specifically?
If you perform a Search on your System drive for ‘ezdrummer.dll’ how many entries show up?

It was just something like “make sure there is no copies of ‘ezdrummer.dll’ on system drive”. So I took search, found some copies of ‘ezdrummer.dll’ and deleted them. So there was only that one original left. Then I uninstalled 1.4. update (because it was failed) and installed it again. Then I tried to install N1 HITS but it still wants upgrade. After that I had to make sure that the 1.4 upgrade is ok, so I opened Cubase and Ezdrummer. Number 1.4. is in the interface, so I guess thats correct. Now I just can’t understand why I can’t install that EZX.

You are first installing the Number 1 EZX Full 1.0.2 Download before running the update, right?
Do you still have more than one ‘ezdrummer.dll’ file on your system?

yep. The folder I downloaded is ‘TT156_EZX_Number1_Hits’ and I guess it’s the full version. That’s what I’ve been trying to install without success. I’ve also downloaded update for that called ‘TT156_EZX_Number1_Hits_Update_WIN_151’ but I haven’t tried to run it yet, of course cause I don’t have that full N1 HITS.

Now only one ‘ezdrummer.dll’ on my system drive exist in location ‘Acer (C:)/Program Filez (x86)/Common Files/VST3/Toontrack/’. I can’t use it on my Cubase before I move or copy it to Cubase VST folder. Before I do that i’d like to get N1 HITS installed. It’s still mystery how to do it.

Problem solved. I installed EZDrummer2 and then tried to install N1 HITS EXZ and it went through without problems. I also installed POP/ROCK and all available updates. No problems. Cool. Now everything seems to be alright. So, somehow my N1 HITS just didn’t want to work with EZDrummer1.
