I too have this issue on my mac. Here’s what I wrote to support, still awaiting an answer: I have spent several hours now trying to get my recently purchased EZD 2 upgrade to work. When I initially installed it, everything was fine. Upon installing the 2.01 version, it became unstable & started to crash in both standalone and logic AU versions. I wrote to you but no fix. Next I tried uninstalling using the uninstaller (several times) which left the components still in my plugins library, which I manually deleted (they still were accessible & crashed logic). Since I only purchased the upgrade version, I decided to next install EZD1again in order for the upgrade version 2 to have something to ‘upgrade’ as indicated in the instructions. Here’s where the REAL weirdness starts: when I now install the EZD2 upgrade using the download from the website, I get a message saying everything was installed ok, but the only version on my computer is EZD1! As you can see from the attached file, the standalone application SAYS it is version 2.01 but when I open it, I get EZD1 (which incidentally works). This is clearly a major bug & I have wasted too much time already on this. Help please! What are my options if I can’t get this to work? Can I get a refund from the retailer?? Thanks for your attention to this.ezd2-jpg.jpg

I’ve downloaded my ezdrummer2 upgrade and installed it. This is on my second computer. The problem I’m having is after it’s loaded I go into my DAW and pull up VST instrument, but the original EZdrummer comes up and it has the EZDrummer2 percussion and vintage choices but with the original EZDrummer. I’ve tried this 3 times now without success. What can I do to truly get EZDrummer2 to come up. It’s working perfect on my other computer.

I’m also having difficulty getting EZMix to show up at all. I tried the path a few times.

The only difference is this computer is Windows 8.1 and my other computer is windows 7.

The problem is most likely due to an old DLL file that was manually moved to your DAW’s plugin folder. Manually moving plugin DLL files is never a good idea because it causes these types of issues with updates.

The solution will be to open the DAW’s plugin folder and delete the old EZDRummer dll.

Then use the plugin manager in the DAW to set the path to the installed location of the EZDrummer DLL. This location can be found by launching EZDrummer 2 in the stand alone app and then clicking Help > show Plugin path.

    Michael,
I haven’t moved any files manually but I’ll give it a try. Thanks for the feedback, I’ll let you know how it works out. Once again Thanks.

This is not the same issue as above and the instructions that I provided this user will not work for you.

We have replied to your email from support. Please know that all emails to support are answered during normal USA working hours Monday – Friday.

Your original email has been forwarded to our programmers for review and therefore it is taking longer than normal. We have again asked them for assistance.

I have exactly the same problem as sprose.

I’m unable to get my recently purchased EZD 2 upgrade to work. When I initially installed it, everything was fine. I too installed the EZD1 upgrade (after installing EZD2)

When I then installed the EZD2 upgrade using the download from the website, I get a message saying everything was installed ok, but the only version on my computer is EZD1! When I open it, I get EZD1 (which incidentally works). This is a bit worrying since I’m new to using apple macs and this clearly make things even more complicated for me…

Most grateful for your support / advice…

Similar issue here as Jay…. (sort of)

    Just upgraded/installed EZ2

Installation went ok. Digital Performer validates EZ2 upon launch as well.

When I open EZ in Digital Performer, I get the message that I`m running EZ2 in demo mode.

I`ve tried uninstalling and re-installing, still get the same message.

    Any help appreciated.

    Thanks,
    EB

    Ernest,

what happens when you launch the standalone?
    Can you Authorize it?
Did you install all Full products and applied their updates?
