Hello, I am brand new to using ez drummer. I just purchased ez drummer 2 and I have to admit, it is not as “easy” as I had hoped for.
I am using a roland electronic drum kit via midi and cannot seem to figure out how to turn on the metronome. most people have told me just to use the click through pro tools, but the problem with this is I don’t know how to quantize my beats through pro tools. I am trying to record and edit all of the drums in the ez drummer program and then drag it over to pro tools, but before I can record, I need to turn on the metronome. The manual says to go to “settings,” and then “metronome settings menu,” but I do not see “settings” or anything about a metronome anywhere.
Very frustrated! any help would be greatly appreciated!
The metronome is not available when you use EZdrummer 2 in a host, it is only available in the standalone. You can still use the click track in Pro Tools and record into EZdrummer 2. Make sure ‘follow host’ is selected and EZdrummer 2 will sync to Pro Tools as you record. You can then use the quantise features in EZdrummer 2 then drag the file into Pro Tools when you have finished editing.
