I came up with a pattern I liked using tap to find, but didn’t find a close match ( a problem for another time). But in dragging my pattern to the timeline the pattern changed. It was a straightforward bass, snare and closed hi-hats, with two on-beat open hh in the first bar and two off-beat hh in the second bar. This became no open hh in the first bar and four open hh in the second bar. I tried this a few times but with the same result. Why am I losing my pattern? Quantising? Ideas appreciated. Thanks.
Well, today I’ve done exactly the same as yesterday and it now works. What I played in Tap 2 Find now survives being dragged into the timeline. But I don’t know what the difference might have been. The next question is relating the odd results that are supposed to match what is a very basic John Bonham style pattern. I will ask that question somewhere else.
You know, I would have sessions where the Edit Play Style wouldnt work properly, and I would have to restart, and it worked perfectly, no idea why.
