Hopefully someone can point me in the right direction.
ok so i write and record a lot of very technical-extreme metal. lots of timing changes and patterns in weird,off-time signatures. for drums i use EZ Drummer (Drum Kit from hell). Reaper 64 is my DAW (Windows 7)
I need to have a click that accuraetly follows the music so that my human drummer can practice to it and eventually record his stuff in place of the programmed drums. When i go to add a click track it just adds a “standard” click set to whatever the BPM of the song is. is there a way to have the click follow the MIDI of the drum pattern, so that it follows all the nuances and changes that the drum pattern does? i was hoping that since all the drums have their own MIDI that there was a way i could use that for the click track (of course, i dont have any sound or plug in for it). i dont suppose there a “click plug in” that can be applied, or some easier way to get an accurate click is there?
Im not a Reaper expert but I would imagine that there is indeed a way to do this… (As it can be done in pro tools).
There is not a way to do this in EZDrummer 2. So, I can only recommend contacting Reaper support or checking the Reaper manual for ways to make Meter Changes in the Reaper timeline.
