After installing EZ2 all seemed to be working well and then I noticed there was an update in my Products page. I installed it and now it appears that the Modern and Vintage were combined. The merged midi library they reside in appears to be under nourished? I haven’t counted but prior the update I could have sworn there were a lot more midi grooves in each midi pack prior the merge of Modern and Vintage. I could be wrong.. (Personally I preferred them separate) Can anyone confirm or am I loosing it? Thanks

Modern and Vintage are the names of the 2 libraries that ship with EZD2.
Are you thinking of Custom & Vintage? The Superior Drummer 2 SDX library?

No Scott. When I open EZ2 and select the Browser tab, on the left (first column) where the midi libraries are all listed. All of my midi packs show as they should but the EZ2 Modern and Vintage are now combined? The line reads: “EZ 2 drummer Modern /..” Vintage is no longer a separate title listing. They were individual listings before the new update? If I open SD2 they are now combined also. They were individual listing before. Something happened after I upgraded. Should I reinstall EZ2?

lyovino,
I’m seeing the same thing here as well!
Under nourished is right!
I can’t tell you what it looked like before because I just upgraded to EZD 2 today.
Not a big deal, but all the MIDI libraries in browser are out of alphabetical order (just like they were in EZD)… A little annoying!
If I could figure out a way to upload an image (like I could on the old Forum), I would.
I’m not sure I follow you.
Are you referring to the EZdrummer 2 Modern/Vintage MIDI under the EZdrummer Libraries in the Browser in EZD2?
If so, that is the MIDI that installed with the EZdrummer 2 update. It wasn’t there before.

Scott, after the initial install of EZ2 upgrade all of the midi libraries were listed on the Browser Tab in the first column on the left as they should. The EZ drummer Modern and Vintage midi packs were there also and the title of each listed individually as all the other midi libraries. In my account there was an update for “Cocktail and also an update for SPD which I did the updates. Now when opening EZ2 and also SPD, the “EZ drummer Modern and Vintage” libraries are not separate listings as they were before the updates. There is a slash.. It now reads “EZ drummer Modern/…” Vintage is no longer a separate Title. There seems to be a missing library of midi files, which one I haven’t a clue. Please look into this, there is definitely a Gotcha in there! I tried an uninstall and reinstall with no change..

Can anyone confirm or have a suggestion. Thanks.

Yes… As I wrote above, I’m seeing this as well!
When I did the upgrade to EZD2 yesterday, it was a massive update (I have almost all of the of EZX’s, SDX’s and MIDI Packs that Toontrack make).
So I have no idea what update(s) could have caused the combining of those two libraries and the disappearance of the MIDI files from those libraries.
MacBook Pro 15-inch with Retina display (Late 2013), 2.3 GHz Quad-core Intel Core i7, 16GB SDRAM, 512GB SSD, Mavericks (10.9.2).
Thank you izz63! Sorry to hear you experienced the same as me. I sure hope someone is reading all of the mishaps and they come up with a fix. I also use SPD latest version and have a few of the SDXs. SPD uses quite a bit of RAM so I thought by upgrading to EZ2 I could lighten the load only to find that now EZ2 is using just about the same RAM as SPD. Go figure.. In a way EZ2 is pretty cool for some of the enhancements, really wasn’t expecting the setback. I should have just waited for the upgrade of SPD. Thanks again for the conformation.
I can’t seem to find how to edit my profile and signature on this new forum platform? This is a bit more current:

This is the way it was shown from the beginning. The MIDI library for EZdrummer 2 has always been combined into one heading – EZdrummer 2 Modern/Vintage.

Thanks Erik, but immediately after upgrading to EZ2 from EZ they were listed individually in the Browser tab. You can confirm this also by watching some of the EZ2 videos. Also as I mentioned above the midi grooves within seem to be less.
update: I just watched a MacPro video and you are correct they are listed as one Library combined. Strange, because they were individual after the upgrade. Is there anyway to confirm that all the grooves are present within? Thank you Erik!

As I said, they where always combined so you still have all the MIDI you had upon the first install.

Well… It looks like it’s severely lacking in MIDI grooves.
There use to be a way to upload images on this Forum. Is that option still available?
This way, I can show you what I’m seeing on my end here!
Thanks!

While you’re at it, can you take a look at the “Roots” SDX MIDI and tell me if that’s cool?
Uploaded that screen shot as well.
