Are you using 32-bit or 64-bit versions of EZdrummer and Reaper and are you adding the path to the correct EZdrummer .dll?

I was advised to install both 32 and 64 bit EZ Drummer, so I did. I’m not sure how to add the path for EZ Drummer to Reaper. It is not listed in any of the effects, VST or Virtual Instruments. I had no problem installing on my 32 bit Reaper. EZ Drummer just went there when I installed it.

I think the directory path I found the plugin in on my system was something like Program Files/Steinberg/VST Plugins. I just installed it a week or two ago so it was a recent version – 1.3.3 I think. I just accepted whatever the default path(s) was, so I didn’t specify that it went there. I’m not sure however if it was Program Files or Program Files x86 (I have a 64 bit system).

Also, although I’ve seen several people say that EZ Drummer’s plugin shows as “DFH sampler” or something like that in Reaper, mine does actually say EZ Drummer. I’m not at my home computer right now so I can’t say exactly what it shows up as but it definitely did say EZ Drummer.

I don’t know how I did it but was able to get EZ into Reaper but there’s no sound from the drums but you can see the drums being hit. Back to the drawing board. Thanks for all the help.

Try finding an option in the prefs to run plugins while the transport is stopped.

That caught me out with Superior Drummer.

You may have already tried this but I think I had the same problem initially and it was just that the “record arm” button on the track EZDrummer was running on wasn’t enabled. Either that or it was the “input monitoring” wasn’t enabled.
