I have literally tried everything. I installed the first EZMix numerous times (with current updates), and tried installing both the original and updated versions of EZMix 2 on my account. Literally nothing is working. Even tried to go into the registry of my computer and make sure I had permission to access the key that the error message was referring to. So far today, I have installed EZDrummer, Drumkit from Hell EZX, Metal Machine EZX, EZPlayer Pro, and EZMix 1 with zero issues whatsoever. If someone could please refer me to customer service because I did not spend money to get a product that does not work and to sit behind my computer screen trying to figure these things out for myself. I am not a computer genius.

Have you unzipped the installer before running it?

    Please provide your system specs.

Is there any other way to download the installation file for the upgrade?

Please do, the 1402 error indeed seems to point to some kind of permission problem with your registry.
I’m not a Registry Wiz by any means but would I would try if I were you (or contact Support via the Portal) is to:
    1) open Regedit
    2) browse to ‘HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREClasses’
    3) right-click ‘Classes’ and go to ‘Permissions’
    4) Confirm the User Group you belong to, such as Administrators or Users, then click on Advanced to confirm that your User Group’s permission is set to Full Control.
    5) Close Regedit and re-run the installer

But if you try this instead of contacting Support, don’t forget to back up the Registry first!

Tried that. Tried running in Compatibility mode. Tried granting full access to all keys in the registry to all users. Same error message.

    OK,

try uninstalling all EZmix instances; both EZmix 1 and 2.
Then run the EZmix 2.0.6 installer.

Is your system 32-bit or 64-bit?

It’s 64. And I’ve tried that as well.
