    Well,

I guess that would depend entirely on your computer specs.
Out of curiosity, why would you want to have that many instances of EZdrummer running? If I understand your question right, that is.

Having multiple instances allows you to create a very deep and complex drum track. For isntance if you overlay Nashville variations on some Jazz variations you create very interesting beats, add in some of the Latin Percussion sounds on that and all of a sudden you have a very complex track with depth.

So, there is no limit from your design perspective? I used to be able to create multiple ez tracks and now that causes a crash.

Also, what specs are you referring to that would determine how many I could load? Thank you.

    Well,

it depends on which version we are talking about.
PT 10 can only access about 3GB in total and loading enough EZD instances will sooner or later crash the application when it exceeds those GB’s.
How many instances exactly depends on which EZX:s are loaded; there’s a big difference in RAM load.

PT 11 can utilize all your RAM and since EZD is CPU friendly I guess you just could go on and on loading instances on a fairly new computer. Of course the same wouldn’t count on an older computer.
As an example, I tried loading 32 instrument tracks with an EZD instance each, all playing back something and you see my CPU isn’t particularly bothered.
    This is on a 2011 MBP i7 w 16GB RAM.

    John

There does seem to be some kind of problem on PC, but not on MAC.
For me, there is a considerable risk of a crash if I first load about
2GB worth of sounds, into any number of either EZ or S2, and then
start yet another instance. I have no clue yet as to what is causing
    this.
