Hello there, I am using cubase LE4 and having an issue that I’m having trouble finding in other posts. One post seemed similar but contained screenshot I couldn’t open. Anyway, originally it EZ drummer was working great, but I recently had to reload due to an issue.
The problem:
I open EZ drummer with a new instrument track, but when I drag a groove into my project it doesn’t land in the instrument track. Two other tracks are automatically created: a midi track where the groove appears (just says midi on the groove – it doesn’t show me the groove code name like it used to when it would land in the instrument track). The other track that is created contains nothing, but it is labeled the groove code name, for example: EP_P_G05_05H. The groove will play, but now I have three open tracks for one groove.
Does anyone know how to adjust it so that when I drag the groove into my project it lands in my instrument track?
Thank you so much for your time. I’d really appreciate any help you can give!
Try this change to the MIDI import preferences:
Preferences – Midi – Midi File
Uncheck – Auto Dissolve Format 0
Also uncheck ‘Import to Instrument tracks’ if that is a preference setting in Cubase 4 LE.
