the demo works very very very well as a vst plugin in Reaper. My question is which method works best for recording with Exmix 2, direct or amped? I noticed my tone takes a tremendous crap when i run through a pedal on bypass. Not really sure how that effects it, though. I’d like to get some heavy tones closer to the ones in the demo tracks but i’m not getting anything close.
i’m using an explorer with Seymour Duncan SH2n & SH4 pickups.

So far just the guitar plugged straight into the soundcard works best. Haven’t tried amped yet because I really would rather not carry one up 2 flights of stairs at the moment.
