Hey Toontrack,
Just picked up the New York Vol.3 SDX and I’m really diggin’ it!
I am kinda disappointed with the amount of Factory presets though!
I’m only seeing 4 from Neil… Is this correct?
If so, would love to see more in the immediate future!
Hi,
I’m happy you like it, I really do as well.
Toontrack seldom to never comment on future releases before any press release goes out. They do take note of Requests & Feedback, though.
BR,
John

Thanks John!
Just to confirm, the library only comes with 4 factory presets?
I wanna make sure the installation was done properly.
Yes, I have 4 Dorfsman Combined Presets here as well.

Thanks John!
I think it’s ridiculous to have such a diverse library and have only 4 presets! Especially since it’s being advertised as being superior to the original! At 180 bucks I expected more…
Hopefully, they’ll be more added soon!
I was going to say they probably held some back in answer to izzi63
Now we see it is the case ……. Dorfsman vs Thrall
Just picked up the Dorfsman & Thrall Preset Packs and they’re a very good addition to the N.Y Vol.3 SDX.
That being said… I think it’s appalling for Toontrack to charge Vol.3 owners for these.
All of the other SDX’s come with a decent size collection of presets. The N.Y Vol.3 SDX has only four. To charge additional cash for ten presets from the guys who worked on this SDX is just ridiculous.
This DOES give the impression that these presets were purposely held back from the beginning, when Vol.3 was released.
The whole situation lacks principal
I think this latest little scheme has cured me from any future purchases…
