I recently had to reinstall my version on EZ Drummer b/c I didn’t have any sound when I upgraded to Sonar X2. Now after the reinstall, I try to install Drumkit from hell and everytime, I get this error message. “could not update “midi/05@ezx_drumkit_from_hell/00@_metal_straight_4#4/header”. Try again?” It seems that no matter what I do, I can’t get it to properly install it. Any ideas would be helpful. I’ve never had an issue installing this before. Thanks!
Are you installing from a DVD of from the full product download from your Toontrack account? If the former, I would recommend installing from the download in your account (the red ‘PC’ button on the product page in ‘My Products’).

Thanks for the reply, Scott. I did download directly from the PC download from the Toontrack Website. I was able to install EZDrummer with no issue. It’s only Drumkit from Hell that’s giving me trouble. That’s why I’m stumped.
could it be that your EZdrummer ‘Home’ is at the top of a drive, for example F:/? If so, we are aware of an issue with the latest EZX installers and have plans to fix this in the next couple of weeks. I recommend you contact the shipping office using the site ‘Contact’ form and have them ship you a physical copy.

I’m having this same issue. After unzipping and running the Latin Percussion EZX installer, I get the following “Update Error”:
Could not update
“EZX_Percussion/Sounds/Ambience/AF01_01_HA_FH_R_H01.wav”.
Try Again?
How do I resolve this? I see no link to a site contact form.
For the record, it took me about 2 hours of jumping through hoops just to get EZ Drummer installed in Windows 7 x64. Now this. Disappointed, to say the least.
Have you run the full product installer (then authorized) first before running the ‘update’?
The full product is downloaded from your Toontrack account (the red ‘PC’ button on the product under ‘My Products’).
Or, as Rogue suggested you can contact Toontrack directly through the Support Portal:

Click the ‘Contact Support’ button.

The error message IS from the product installer that I downloaded from the website (red button). After running the product installer, and clicking cancel when the error message popped up, I tried runing the update. When you run the update, it states that the data base is corrupt and will not install.
My problem was that EZ Drummer “Home” was at the top of a drive. I resolved the issue by doing the following:
Unistall EZ Drummer 64 bit
Unistall EZ Drummer 32 bit
Delete all sound folders and files
Create a new dedicated folder for Toontrack sound files
Reinstall EZ Drummer and direct sound files to new Toontrack folder
After that, everything was directed to the new folder, instead of the top of the drive.
