    Hi,

may I ask how you ‘moved’ EZdrummer and Solo?
    Which version numbers are displayed?

Hi John-actually “moved” was a misnomer, I re-downloaded them off of the site. The solo is “Toontrack Solo 32” on the icon, the EZ drummer has no number. I downloaded the 32 bit update for it. Do I have to do something like add a path to the VST plugins for the Drummer From Hell? Thanks in advance for your help!

PS-I’m running Windows XP on this PC…

    Hi,

you donwloaded the dfh EZX, un-zipped it and ran the installer? Did the installer give any warnings or signs of not installing correctly?
When you load EZdrummer, what is populating the EZX library drop-down list at the top of the plugin interface?
Which version number is displlayed in the EZdrummer plugin interface (lower right)?

    BR,
    John

I thought I did, but there is nothing in the EZX LIbrary dropdown list. I have the TT110_EZX-Drumkit_From_Hell on my desktop. The thing that’s strange is when I click on it, all that comes
up is a content file. And all that’s in there is an EZX_drh file and the EULA. Looks like it isn’t installed. Should I try downloading it again? I’m sorry, perhaps I’m a little colorblind-I don’t see any version number in the lower right of the plug in interface. Is it next to the MB window? I noticed that I had trouble seeing the log in and other lettering on the black of the forum until I passed my cursor over it and it lit up. Could this be the case with the number? Sorry I couldn’t find it.

    Hi,
there should be an installer .exe file next to the Content folder. Did you righ-click the ZIP archive and fully extract it before opening it or are you just browsing it?
Please try downloading again if it doesn’t seem right.

Yes, it is next to the lower right corner in black on dark grey, so maybe you’re right, it’s perhaps hard to see.
You can click the ‘?’ Help Menu in the upper right corner and check the version number under the ‘POP/ROCK’ entry.

I thought I fully extracted it but obviously there’s something wrong with the DFH…I’ll redownload it and see what happens. Sorry about the problem with seeing the version number-I did as you suggested with the clickiing on the ? Help Menu in the Pop/Rock—-it’s version 1.3.1 . I hope that helps.

PS-I redownloaded the dfh EZX and unzipped it. I noticed once again that it doesn’t have an installer.exe folder next to the content one. What could be wrong? Very strange…

    Regards, Mark (appreciate the help!)

When un-zipped, it should look like this

Hi John-re-downloaded it again and I’m still just getting a contents file and no installer or readme files. Why would this be happening? Could you possibly send the files to me? I don’t know what else to do at this point.

    Regards, Mark

You are not by any chance using some kind of anti-viral program? If so, please try de-activating it while doing the un-zipping and running the installer.

…looking in your account, I can see that you have Authorized the dfh EZX. Which means that it both must be installed and that you have successfully launched it, otherwise you can’t Authorize it.

Hey John-thanks for hanging in there with me on this dfh problem!! I’ve GOT IT WORKING!! Ok—I finally figured out what was going on with the incomplete extraction of the zip file. This computer is alot slower than my main one and the extraction wizard wasn’t running any progress increments in the bar, so I was hitting the “Next” button. This was causing the problem. I waited a bit longer this last time and noticed the first increment lit up and I knew what had gone wrong the previous 4 times. Sorry about that–got the Update installed as well. Yes, I was using an anti-virus program (avast) and turned it off, thanks for mentioning that-it might’ve been part of the problem. I opened the Solo and only saw the EZ drummer again, initially I was bummed out but then remembered the dfh was inside. Opened it up and hit the open groove button-there was dfh in the EZX Library–alright!! Tried it out and it was kickin’ ass out of the gate!! Thanks so much for your patience and helping me out with this–I can’t tell you how much I appreciate it!!

Best Regards, Mark (my sanity thanks you!)

PS-Yes, I noticed that the dfh was showing that it was authorized as well but couldn’t understand why that was. I knew I hadn’t entered it on the screen yet. Just now I was using it, hit the mixer then clicked it off and noticed that the EZ drummer drumkit was showing and wondered why(it’s been awhile since I’ve used it). Then I realized I needed to go to the EZX drop down menu and clicked on the drh–then the authorization screen came up. I knew I hadn’t done that yet-entered it and viola–I’m in business!
